With the holidays behind us, conventional 30 year rates are now in the low 3’s with the anticipation of moving higher in the near future. The Fed made promises to raise rates at least 3 times in 2022. 15 year terms are still in the 2’s.
Who should act fast on the low rates…
Property values are estimated to rise 16% in the Sacramento, Placer and El Dorado counties in 2022. Home equity is at an all time high in most areas.
This is an opportune time to consider using equity to pay off any more pressing debt while rates are still in the 3’s. Also, if you haven’t refinanced yet and your interest rate is above 4%, right now may be one of the last opportunities to lock in a favorable lower interest rate or decrease the term of your current loan at a low rate.
